The Rouse Warren County Home has a new administrator-in-training.
Zach Hammersley, of Warren, has been in the health care industry since 2012, when he graduated from Mercyhurst University with a degree in Hospitality Management.
“He spent five years working for Sodexo where he traveled and worked in nutrition for many different locations in the healthcare market,” according to a release from Rouse Marketing Director Kelsey Angove. “After relocating back to his hometown of Warren in 2017, Hammersley took the Dietary Director role for another nursing care facility in the area. In 2018, he assumed the role of Nutrition Director for the Rouse Home and within his first year on the Rouse team he was promoted to Director of Environmental Services and Nutrition. He also oversees the Unit Assistant Program.”
“Mr. Hammersley has consistently demonstrated a strong leadership presence and has been instrumental in enhancing the quality of service we provide through the departments he has previously supervised over the past four years,” Interim-CEO Phil DeFabio said.
“Hammersley is currently enrolled in the Nursing Home Administrator Training Program through Penn State Beaver and upon finishing the course, he will then be eligible to sit for and obtain his Nursing Home Administrator License by the end of 2021,” Angove said. “The Rouse Home is currently under the capable hands of Cindy Walters and she will continue to serve as Nursing Home Administrator until Hammersley has obtained his Nursing Home Administrator License.”
In his spare time, Hammersley enjoys spending time with his wife, Cate, and daughters Raegan and Ava. As an avid outdoor enthusiast, Hammersley also enjoys hunting, fishing, and experiencing all the outdoor recreation that Warren County has to offer.
“I am passionate about Warren County and proud of where I am from,” Hammersley said. “The Rouse’s mission is about family and community and this is an organization that I love being a part of. I look forward to this opportunity where I can continue to serve the Rouse and my community.”
“The Rouse looks forward to having Mr. Hammersley extend his hard work and enthusiasm into the Nursing Home Administrator role at the Rouse Home,” Angove said.
